UNICAF signed an MOU with Kenya Model United Nations, to offer the 10,000 Unicaf Scholarships Kenya for the Students of Kenya. The MOU was established at the Unicaf offices and was witnessed by the incoming secretariat. The actual meaning of this is that 10,000 Students from Kenya will get the UNICAF Scholarships.

Unicaf and the Kenya Model United Nations (KMUN) have joined forces to make education more accessible to KMUN members through generous scholarships. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Ms. Winnie Rachael, Unicaf Kenya’s Communications & Marketing Manager, and Mr. Samuel Mue, KMUN’s Secretary General.

The recent 22nd Kenya Model United Nations Conference, sponsored by Unicaf, centered on the theme ‘The Future We Want,’ aiming to empower youth in shaping a sustainable future. KMUN, a non-profit organization affiliated with the United Nations Information Centre in Nairobi, has been providing a platform for over 10,000 young diplomats from East Africa for more than 20 years to discuss global issues and find solutions to international challenges.

With over 700 young members, KMUN strives to be a leading youth society in Kenya and Africa by fostering critical thinking, innovation, and action towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The collaboration between Unicaf and KMUN seeks to make education accessible to KMUN members through the Unicaf Scholarship Programme.

Ms. Rachael expressed Unicaf’s excitement about the partnership, emphasizing their belief that education is crucial for unlocking opportunities and building a better future for everyone. Mr. Samuel Mue, KMUN’s Secretary General, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the collaboration’s significance in providing members with access to quality education to become leaders and make positive impacts in their communities and the world.
