Financial Benefits Romania Government Scholarship
The Romanian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are the sole funders of the Romania Scholarship. Your entire study budget will be paid for by the Romania government. Below are the scholarship’s financial services:

Eligibility Criteria for Romania Government Scholarship
You must meet the requirements listed below to be eligible for the Romanian Government Scholarship
- All international students are eligible for Scholarships in Romania.
- To be qualified for this scholarship, you should not hold Romanian citizenship.
- Age Requirements:
- For a Ph.D. degree or postgraduate studies, you should not be more than 45 Years.
- For Bachelor’s & Master’s Studies, you should not be more than 35 Years.
Documents Required:
The list of required documents for Scholarships in Romania is below;
- 2 recently clicked photographs (passport format).
- Curriculum Vitae or CV of the applicant.
- A copy of the first three pages of your passport.
- A formal document issued by the Romanian diplomatic mission in the place of origin or residency, or by the diplomatic representation of the country of origin in Bucharest.
- The MER application form (APPENDIX 2) is used to issue a letter of admission to study in Romania.
- The completed and proper MFA application form (APPENDIX 1) for a scholarship in Romania.

- A certified translation into any of the following languages, if required, should be included with certified copies of prior study credentials (baccalaureate diploma or its equivalent plus undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees, if any are available).
- Verified copies of matriculation documents or, if required, translated diploma supplements for graduate courses.
You must attach the following documents to your application file ( But only for those applicants who come under one of the categories listed for each document).
- A copy of the proof of name change, including a legalised translation (if applicable).
- A verified translation of the certificate confirming that the current year’s graduates passed the bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate, or baccalaureate exams.
- Copy of the certificate of completion of the Romanian preparatory year or, if applicable, a certificate of language proficiency.
- Declaration on parental approval in the case of young candidates (in either French, English, or Romanian).
